Purrty people, got to like those YAVIS

I heard once that pretty people do better in business and in the job market, as I gain more life’s experience, and take notice of this topic, I tend to agree with this assessment.
Researchers have taken notice of the topic as well.
“A person's physical attractiveness -- the look that they're basically born with -- impacts every individual literally from birth to death,” says Dr. Gordon Patzer, dean of the College of Business Administration at Roosevelt University. He's spent 30 years studying and writing about physical attractiveness. He stated that People are valued more who are higher in physical attractiveness. As distasteful at that might be, that's the reality.
NBC’s news program Dateline, did a program on this subject. They used two models, a male and a female and two plain looking staffers. They took turns playing out different staged accidents, dropping papers on the street, asking for change and asking for directions. The results were dramatic, and predictable. Being a model in distress is a much more pleasant existence than a plain looking staffer it turns out.. The study participants, all heterosexual men and women, fixated on highly attractive people within the first half of a second of seeing them. Single folks ogled the opposite sex, of course, but those in committed relationships also checked people out, with one major difference: They were more interested in beautiful people of the same sex.”
“Dr. Patzer says more controlled studies do show people go out of their way to help attractive people of the same and opposite sex because they want to be liked and accepted by these good looking people.”
“YAVIS stands for Young, Attractive, Vocal, Intelligent, and Successful.
Attractive People Are More Popular In School. Have An Easier Time Getting Jobs And Advancing In Business. People Gave Them More Support And Encouragement.”
I copied this from the Internet…somewhere
It’s all Belly interesting…..

Ozz, another example of how life can be very unfair...but we all get through it as best as we can (the alternative has got to be worse). Michael

Michael, yep you are right, but I look at it like I could have been born in Malaysia or somewhere.

In that case, I should have been a lot more successful than I am.

I also remember a study done once that found that tall people (especially men I think) earned higher salaries than shorter people. They tended to start higher and get larger raises. Don't remember the reason stated. Because people "looked up" to them maybe?
At a little over 6'-4" I guess I maybe had a little advantage?

Merry Christmas to you two nice folks.
Popular...I think not. My mom and dad had to tie a Pork Chop to my shirt so the dog would play with me!
