Toilet leaks...

The other day I noticed water on the floor around the toilet so I cleaned it up and tightened up every thing that I could including the the large clamp around the toilet. About a week later there it was again but all the water was located directly under the flush valve. Checked every thing and the only thing that looked wet was the black cap on the side of the flush valve. Three days later the same thing. Has any one ran across this problem before or has any idea of what the black cap is? I tried Dometic and when they put me on hold I was told that I was number 19 and please wait. Right, I am going to wait an hour to talk to some one.

Is this a sealand stool. We have the same problem. Not all the time just part time. It might go two days and not leak and then leak. Post what you find out please.

We haven't had that problem but are haaving a problem with it holding water in the bowl. Taking it back to the dealer tomorrow. Hard to keep clean with no water in it.

We have had to take this one back alot more than our first Montana, same for everyone?

ronstan, I am wondering if my problem could be the high water pressure? I put a regulator in the water system to cut the pressure and will see if it does any better. I have determined that the water is coming from the black cap on the under side of the flush valve. My dealer is sending me a new flush valve so will also try that later.

fla hobo, ours also will not hold water, we had the same problem with the 2980RL. I think that Dometic has a fix for this, will have to do a search on the Moc site and see what I can find.

Mine leaks even though I have a regulator on the hose at 45 lbs. I need to check my valve and see if mine is leaking at the same spot.I have had this in for about 2 years. It did not come with the trailer. I put it in after we bought it.

The Dometic rep at the fall rally last year told us that if you ease the foot pedal up you don't get a good seal. You have let it up quickly.

Just for information sake the Dometic people will be doing a seminar at the Fall Rally.

Maybe we can get an answer at that time.
