Thinking about joining, but seems to good to be true. Anyone have any comments good or bad about it. I was looking at some of the places I stay and even with the restrictions it looks like it would save me a lot of money.

It does save some money if you stay a day or 2 depends on the resort and time of season,it is cheap to belong to it,BUT for the most part it is only good for a discount rate for a night or 2 sometimes more depends on the resort and also I have found they are not the best of resorts but what the heck beats staying in a Walmart parking lot or something

We have been a member for many years and think it's a pretty good deal if you spend much time on the road . It only takes 2 or 3 nights staying at their listings and you save enough to pay for the years membership. The fine print can be frustrating though, especially when you can't use certain parks during the high season or on weekends. They all vary. You can check online to see the listed parks that may interest you and get a feel for their restrictions and rules. Not for everyone, works great for us, the savings are worth it.

Had it for years and well worth the 44.00 membership. There are restrictions at PA campgrounds but we have found that a call will bring positive results. We stayed at two P.A campgrounds last month for a savings well in excess of our 44.00 membership fee.

We do generally use it for overnight stays while in travel status although we have used it for a week stay. It depends on the C.G and the time of year.

We have had it for several years. It has more than paid for itself. As others have said we use it mostly for 1-2 days stays. Just depend on campgrounds rules and reg. Have stayed at some for 2 weeks.

As we travel across the country, we will occasionally overnight at a Cracker Barrel or Truck Stop but if there's a PA park in the area it's a much better choice and not that expensive. They are, at times, not the best parks but it's just for the night and since we don't want to unhook we only use parks that have pull thru sites but for us it's still more than worth the money.

I saved more than 3 times my dues the first month. Many parks are parking lots with hookups, but if traveling,,they are convenient

Use them all the time when possible! As has been said previously, you can save your membership fee in just a couple of stays. Many of the PA parks only accept cash for their special rate(which is normally half or less of normal rate) but we always carry enough cash for just such circumstances. Some are not the best parks but most that we've stayed at are normal RV parks, not the resort type but normal parks. If you want high dollar amenities you have to pay for such but in our case we don't need those frills especially if we are just staying for a night or two.

Absolutely agree with what everyone else has said. We try to use military CGs (I'm retired USAF) first, then Passport, then WalMart or a truck stop, then Good Sam for overnights or even two day stops. For anything longer it all depends on location and Passport has come through many times on that as well.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll give it a try. I checked the restrictions at the places I go and a new park I just found and it looks like it will work out well.

We always call ahead to let them know how long we are , how many slides and what accommodations we need. In many cases if a campground has unused spaces they would rather give the P.A rate than nothing at all.

We just got back from an extended trip From Colorado to Maine and used PA more than half of our stays. Saved us a LOT of money

Considered it but given wenough camp on weekends most of the time and the localove PA CG'S don't accept PA on weekends.....we passed on this. May make sense post retirement.

We use it as often as we can. Found some nice CG with PA.

Looks like you have decided to try it. We have saved many times our dues. We got (3) years for around $100. We find PA resorts close to where we are traveling and then check the ratings on All Stays or Good Sam. In Portland, Maine we found three or four parks that had PA. All but one had day of the week restrictions. Good luck.

We have used it on our three trips across the states. I found that in the New England states, if you tell them you are a veteran, they may extend your stay discount rate or even give a lower rate. The PA really saved us a lot of cash. Like others have said, all the CG's are not RV resorts, but there are some in the book. Chicago and New York City areas seem to be the worst for finding places to stay. Good luck on what you use.

We've been a member since 2008 and have saved a lot on parks. We don't sit in one spot very long so for us it's great. Rondo said some places won't take a credit card but they will take a check if they ask for cash.

We are glad to hear about the good reports from MOC members. We have never joined because the Parks where we live are not places we would ever recommend. The two parks in Redding are horrible facilities, I could only imagine what others might be like. Good information, thank you.
