Bad day, could have gone much worse.

I don't know for sure but this looks like Needles Highway. AC and awning, g-o-n-e gone. Ouch!

Yep this is Needles Highway/ Iron Mountain Road thru Custer State Park. We have driven it a couple of times so far this spring but on our motorcycles and even then it is challenging. Actually this video is old but still interesting to watch to see both how stupid people are and how total strangers will help one another.

I agree, Bigboomer. That is a beautiful drive. We did it in 2001. I hope this guy learned a lesson about knowing his height and width. I bet he doesn't make that mistake again.

I watched a tour bus go through those tunnels. Yes one of those big Grey Hound jobs I have NO idea how he got it got it through. There was maybe 2 inches on either side and 4 inches on top. There was a lot of backing up and inchen forward and it took a while but he made it.

They're crazy.
The driver had a crowd gathered to watch. When I first saw it it thought the bus was stuck. He eased the bus on through inch by inch. I looked at the bus later there wasn't a scratch on it. This wasn't his first rodeo. He had been through the tunnels many times before. Made me feel bad, I was worried about taking my truck through.

Cool! Sound like the Tail of the Dragon in the Smoky Mountains. Will have to do it on my bike.

Willy Bee that is a very good way to get run over. They not only drive it on motorcycles but in sport cars and if you happen to be in the way oh well sorry about that, you just got run over.

I have a friend who went down there to ride it and chickened out. You are a brave man. I wouldn't even walk it.
