Antifreeze!

Problem solved. The DW and I are heading to South Texas in two weeks. I have already had to crank the furnace a couple of times. We need to leave sooner next time.

Good job on the southbound trip!!

Love that TV!!! The only rig I know of that is big enough to have an actual campfire IN it!

Just curious, do you need a Class A driver's license for that? With my F-250/350 all I needed in California is a Class C with RV endorsement (written test and a small fee) and that was only because I was towing over 10,000 but less than 15,000.

I don't know all States but in Tennessee I wasn't required to have a Class A (CDL) when I had my Freightliner M2. The Freightliner wasn't a commercial carrier as in not being use for commercial commerce and therefore didn't require a Commerical Lic. We have traveled in almost every State. We also towed a Chevy HHR behind the 5th wheel. But we quit double towing so I no longer required that much Truck.. We downsized to the 2012 Chevy 3500HD. We do tow a heavier 5th wheel but since GM upgrade the GM 3500HD's I'm under all weight ratings. The only thing I miss from the FL is the ride, no 1 ton will ever ride as good as the FL, everything was on air, air seats, suspension, cab etc.. Happy Trails.....

We use to tow with an F-350 long bed. It had plenty of power but was weak on stopping. Also, the turning radius on the FL is much better. We love the truck. It has two choices for engine braking and air ride. It get the same mileage as the F-350 while towing.

Sorry forgot to say that in Virginia there is an exception to the CDL which states the RVs do not need a CDL. I have the regular driver license and carry the regulation booklet in the truck to prove the exception if we get stopped.
