LCI level up popping noise

I searched but didn't notice this answer. Our camper is making these popping noises and assume it is the level up system as many have reported. My question is: is this causing damage or should it be corrected by adding the fluid mentioned? I prefer to wait until the next service visit to address it unless it is causing or indicating a problem. Level up system is working as far as I know. Thanks,

Here is the Lipsheet covering that issue.

Just go to a CAT dealer and pick up a quart or two of the Caterpillar Hydraulic Oil Additive 1U-9891, drain a quart of the transmission fluid in your hydraulic reservoir add a quart of the additive. Cycle the jacks and slides if you have hydraulic slides. This may take several cycles to mix the fluid, but it will stop the popping. It may take adding a second quart like the sheet from Lippert says. I don't think the popping is causing damage to anything, but it sure is annoying. https://www.lci1.com/assets/content/...ic_Systems.pdf

After all of the reviews, I put Hotshot's Transmission Stiction Eliminator in mine after drawing 32 ounces out. Stopped within two setups.

Golfmedik: How did you draw it out? Adding is easy, but getting it out to make room is another issue. I changed out a burst line on the 3400 we traded and it was a mess. If this is not causing damage or a problem, think I will go with it until after upcoming trip. Thanks,

I was told the same thing from Lippert to add a quart of Torco Fork Oil to the Hydraulic fluid. It didn’t help because our new unit from day one had those popping noises and still did. The problem was the very Top plate of the front legs was seeping very, very , slowly causing the popping noises. At first, I didn’t notice till I investigated more and had to re-level our unit every couple weeks. The final thing was when I saw fluid running down the legs. You can’t see it at first unless you open the propane doors and look in with a flash light at the top plate where the hoses attach. These units are non-serviceable so if they are leaking they must be replaced. If you are out of the one-year warranty as with most Lippert parts you are not covered. These Front legs will cost $450 each plus labor to have them replaced. Hope this is helpful. They are covered by some extended warranties if you have a good one. 2016 Montana 3790-RD

I drew it out with a turkey baster. Just takes a little bit.

Suggest having all the hydraulics up and in before adding fluid....

As suggested, put the camper on the truck and all hydraulics up to change it.
