Problem with Door Side Light not going off

Regarding my 2014 Montana 3402RL Big Sky Fifth Wheel:
Has anyone experienced a problem with the DS and door step light not going off? I pulled the switch leads and the fuses, and the light stays on. I also disconnected the battery lead. Finally had to remove the light bulbs.
Any ideas?

If you have a remote, they must be turned off with remote. Frequent issue.

Our 2013 came with a remote that will operate these lights and other items. If lights are turned on with the remote, you must turn them off with remote. If not, you have to push the relearn button in the fwd compartment by the battery. Not sure about your model.

I will bet $$ to doughnuts that you have a remote as this is the classic symptom of turning them on with the remote and *ONLY* the remote can turn them off. Look in the front compartment for the "brain" of the various systems. I bet you will see one of the connection labeled "lights". If all else fails, disconnect the wire connected to "Lights"

This is a picture of the brain in a 2010 unit but it is essentially the same today.

Thanks to all for your help. You all were exactly right... I mistakenly hit the 'light' button on the remote... In fact, I did not know that that button controlled the external lights. I feel like a bonehead!! Learned something today...
