Prospect RV Park
This Good Sam park off Highway 62 on the way to Crater Lake in Prospect, Oregon offers the best of both worlds. It has lots of beautiful trees and shaded spots. There is a short trail to the Rogue River. The hosts drive you around in a golf cart to show you around. If a group camps together they have tents set up with tables inside for gatherings and they have group fire pits which are very nicely done (at the time we were there they had a group of Titanium owners). There is severe fire danger in this part of the country so there are no individual fire pits. I believe there is 50-AMP service and there are some pull-through sites. Try the Prospect Hotel (historic) for good food. There are several scenic trails in the area. The park is about 10+ miles north of Lost Creek/Stewart State Park, also another good camping choice but has only electric and water hookup and some of the electric sites are badly in need of updating. We personally go there in the spring and fall when we do not need our AC. I will write a separate report on this state park.
