Slide Seal

Our new rig got broken in this last weekend but not by Louise or me. Our son and his family flew in from Denver for a 60th birthday surprise for Louise.

We did have rain during part of their stay and the unit was wet, on the outside. When we brought the slides in we noticed that the seals
did not sqeegee off the water like our previous SOB. We had to put a mat next to the slide to keep the water from dripping directly on the floor. This was the curb side slide, next to the door, and we could not see if the same problem existed on the other slides.

Any suggestions?????

Maybe it was leaning too far one way? I haven't run into any problems like that so far. But who knows what will happen next???

Sounds like the seal that should squeegee the side of the slide may have gotten twisted. Have someone observe what is happening as the slide comes in. When we first got our unit, it leaked just where you are describing. I lubed the seals, saw that their action was appropriate and haven't had a repeat of the leak.

Now I check to see how the seals are laying and if the top overlaps the side seals when I park and let the slides out.

The unit was level but we will watch the seals to see if they twist. I looked at the "problem" one today and it seemed fine but I will spray them all once it warms up.

Thanks
