I'm pretty claustrophobic so I think for the time being I'll put a piece of strapping tape on the latch and just pull the door shut on a small wash cloth or something to keep the door shut when I'm in there. I think it might be instant insanity (or maybe some wild demolition) if I were ever trapped in that little room!!

If nothing else you better have lots of magazines in there.
And maybe a philips screwdriver.

TT2,
Going to Home Depot and buying a new handle would be too easy. I like the idea of installing a window ~ just in case... =)
Yes! a window does sound like another way, perhaps a little more costly, but we all do have the time and the money now, I hope that he gets a window that is simple in the locking mechanism. HA HA. be terrable if he got locked in again by both the door latch and the window.

After reading these posts, I'm sure glad I was locked OUT when the handle broke! I was parked just across from the clubhouse - reminds me of the book, 40 Steps to the Outhouse by Willie Makit.

Went to Home Depot and bought a closet door kit for about $7.00 and all is now well.

They are not big enough to get your body through, but you could stick your head through and "call" / "yell" for help. =) Especially for those of us who are solo rv'ers.
Don I think he is a solo rv'er. Not sure!!!

More fine quality from Keystone--now our bathroom latch is acting up, too! Time for a trip to Home Depot for a real lockset.

Ow!

Having a bad day?

Sorry for your problems. (Read your similar comment about the Half-Time oven on the other thread.)

But, an '04 Monty?

And just now having problems with these items?

Can't say that's all that unusual, given the use those things get.

Deep breath.

Think of the good times you've had with the rig. (There were some. Right?)

Smile!

Now I understand what the half-moons in the door were for. That may be better than a window.

In some cases it's for ventilation, but I wouldn't point fingers...

TT2,
Being single does have its perks, but being married might just have more... Now if I can only find a gal who drives a Duramax and loves to boat and rv.... =)

I'm sure there has to be one out there to fill those requirement. but I'm not going to do the match maker thing HA HA. I'm sure you can do that for your self.
In your last post you said you were looking for another RV did you find anything?

TT2,
I have found 3 different 5th wheels this last weekend that have gotten my attention. I also found a dealership(online) in Montana that has a Cambridge instock w/ everything I want on it!! Will be calling them to find out if they still have it.

You dont want to play match maker?? I do not blame you. LOL!

Dennis replaced our bathroom handle yesterday. Also replaced the one on the washer/dryer door. We have a 3670 and that handle is right next to the bathroom one. Looked funny having two different handles being so close together.
