Which vacuum do we keep???

Getting closer and closer to fulltiming -- and getting rid of "stuff".

We have a Hoover Windtunnel Upright that is awesome, but big. We also have a Eureka Boss rechargeable that is small, lightweight and easy to use -- BUT: will it get up the dog hair and cat hair and the sand we track in??
What do you use??
Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
Thanks!
