CG advice - The Keys in Florida
I'm asking for someone else:
------------
We're torn between Pennekamp, Calusa and Key Largo Kampground. We have a 31 ft. SOB travel trailer with side slides and awning. Can anyone give some feedback on any of these three places?

We stayed at Pennekamp last summer. All new there, large sites, 50 amp. full hook ups, wide access roads, plenty to do in the park plus the marina has boat rides, snorkeling trips etc. Good restaurants walking or biking distance. Great place. I do not know about the others mentioned.

Several years ago we stayed at Fiesta Key. At the time it was a KOA but I think it has been since sold. The campground took the entire island. The keys are awsome!

Art, can't address the question, but if that other person is going south on I75, Quail Run RV park in Wesley Chapel (just north of Tampa) would be a good place to stop along the way to the Keys....Michael

I don't know where they are coming from (I-75 side or I-95 side or somewhere else). They have added that they've been to Key West and stayed at hotels. But they now have the trailer and want to use campgrounds and are looking for place around Key Largo.
When we traveled the Keys there were many good looking RV Parks all along the 100 miles of Keys but I don't know about any of them. We stayed at motels ourselves. It was definitely lots of fun there, except that we were dodging Hurricanes. I thought the Key we were staying on was gonna end up under water, but nope, it all drained away somehow, somewhere and made for an interesting memory.
