Dimplex has sent out a recall notice on their plug-in remote control receiver. You can visit www.recall.dimplex.com for a list of products that include such a remote control receiver. Fyi to those with remotes for their fireplaces.

We have a Dimplex in the stick house which qualifies. A replacement can be ordered online. They recommend you immediately unplug the remote receiver and to NOT use it. They say "throw it away". Thanks for the info - otherwise I'm sure we would have NEVER heard of the recall.
