Transfer Flow owners!
I ask your input again! I am thinking about putting a 50 gallon Transfer Flow Cross-the-bed auxilliary tank in my 2004 GMC Sierra 3500 dually. The charts from Transfer only state "1990-03". Do any of you towers have a Transfer Flow tank in newer tow vehicles? How do you like it? My 8.1L gets about 8mpg and a safe driving range of 220 miles. Not that the co-pilot doesn't need a potty break before that but I would like to have a longer potential range (I JUST make it past Baltimore-Washington on exisiting tank!) Thanks, in advance, for your input!

Like Bob I replaced my stock 35 gal tank with a 56 gal tank and very happy with it. Transfer Flow is a great company to work with.

Art, I had a TF tank installed in my 05 2500 Chevy. It was the underbed that replaced the OEM. Worked fine and I did not give up my bed room. I think it went from 26 gals to 45. I also think the one tons are up to 56. Of course if you install a supplemental bed tank you would have both. I kind of liked the combination 30 gal and tool tank.......

I put a 50gal low profile tank in the bed of my 07 Dodge 3500 dually, gave me 86gal. Dan's Service Ctr in Elkhart installed it for me. They did a super job and I loved the tank.

I like my 50 gal in-bed tank. Would certainly recommend TF products. I had 2 installed at the factory,

I have the Transfer-Flow replacement tank in the 2007 Classic Chevy, no problems with it.
Sailer, It's worth it to me, as my short bed came with a 26 gal tank. You get only about 20 gal effective, so with any winds or hills that drag the mileage down to 10 gpm, thats about 2 stops to refuel in a 400 mile day. With the replacement tank of 45 gallons, I'm good for the whole day. I really dislike having to take the monty into a fuel station. So I'm now a happy camper.
PS went with the replacement tank, only because I already had a tool box in the bed, and did not want to through it away to put in the extra bed tank.

I've had mine for a few years now and wouldn't be without it.I can hold 85/gals get to where I'm going unhook and find the cheapest fuel around and fill up without the monty with me.Don't have to worry where the next diesel station is.

I have a 50 gal across the bed TF tank in my 2007 F350 and wouldn't be without it. With a 29 gal stock tank it would require to many stops to go any distance. It gives me the opportunity to pick and choose where I buy fuel. I have made two out of state trips since having the tank installed and it did the job.

I have a 32 gallon tank installed on the frame in front my 450 comes with tank in the rear. With air ride that was the largest they could put in. I have a 72 gallon capacity which work by putting fuel from front tank to rear tank automaticly it works fine. Thought we might need it when we went to Alaska.

If you ever plan on driving to Mexico, I'd think twice about putting one in the bed.
