A/C Freezing Up '05 Mountaineer

We are having trouble with the AC freezing up again. I took off the plastic cover and washed the foam filter this morning. Last year I replaced some of the metal tape in the air return to seal up the air return. It seemed to work pretty good after that. This morning I noticed a 2"X3" hole where wires from the motor exit into the roof. When the fan is on it is sucking air from back behind this hole. Should I tape this up also?. The fan always runs on high.

Thanks

Ray
