That salesman that Champ 49 encountered had probably just been terminated from some used car company. They're out there.

Remember there is no requirement for a manufacturers sticker on a Rv like we see 0n a Auto/truck The Rv stick is a generic form put on by the dealer.
A Ford Truck sticker from the Manufacturer with the same equipment will be the same everywhere. Not so with the same equipped Rv.. Looking up a 2013 3402 Big sky with my options we see prices from 76K all the way up to 93K.So do you want 30% off 76K or 30% off 93K. Why you may be able to talk the dealer with the 93K sticker to give 40% off....what a deal?????

When we purchased our 06 3400 and paid cash we got just short of 33% off. Dealer stated price 58K with the options we wanted.Cash price just under 40K.. Easy to figure.

Ok when your talking about the MSRP are we talking the first price out of the salespersons mouth or the first price they say they offer it at. Was just back down to the dealer here and the only Montana they have on the lot brand new is the 3800. Sales guy says it costs 90 something, but it's on sale for 65?? So are we talking 30 percent off the 65??? Just how low will they go? Wish they would just put the price they want on it so you don't have to haggle. I hate to haggle back and forth. I realize they gotta make a profit but dang I don't think I should have to pay the total cost for the sales mgrs new Mercedes either. I know it is the American way.

That is just another weird thing about the Rv industry, Google that 3800 and check out the wide range of so called MSRP. I love to haggle. He wants 65..Offer 50 right now..checkbook in hand. He clutches his heart and his eyes roll up..My kids will starve says he.. I can come down to 60 but my kids will eat rice for a month..Well 55K is all the $$ I have in the world it is my dear old Grandmothers inheritance .55K out the door and we are broke.

If you are trading in it is a different ball game. 65K ..Ok but I've got to have 35K for my XXXX Montana..so My perfect Montana and 30K out the door. My hand is poised over the checkbook.

Play the game..

I love to haggle, I use to sell cars for a living and know alot of the little games they play but I know they have to make some money on it and thats cool as long as I get a fair deal I'm good ,they love it when you have a trade in sometimes they make more on the trade -in then they do on the new one at least that how it was when I was selling cars. Just do your research before you buy! we use do LOVE customers that came in on a impulse without knowing much about the value of their trade in or a fair price on the new one THAT WAS A GOOD DAY!....Just remember you will never"win"on a deal they got more tricks up their sleeve than you do
