Stolen Trailer Update

Thanks again for all the support from everyone on this. I got the word that Camping World gave the go-ahead to the dealer to re-order our trailer that was stolen! So, there are still a lot of details to iron out, but as of now at least we can get the new unit ordered. Sounds like six to eight weeks - waiting for one new trailer was hard enough, but a second one?? Not complaining - at least we're getting it replaced!

An FYI on the outdoor entertainment system and why we ended up with it on the first trailer. We thought it was a "mistake" because we didn't order it, and we didn't pay for it. But on the new order form it shows it as a forced option for the 3750FL. So we must have been right at the beginning of the new system availability and just lucked out by having it included. Not sure if it's forced on other floorplans or not.

I think that's called the wider space option. Comes with a lot of bass. You just crank up the system and your neighbors move to another part of the park and suddenly you've got more space

I am so glad to hear that CW made the right decision in re-ordering your Montana. After hearing what happened to you, we were very thankful we didn't have an issue as our new Montana sat on the same lot for several weeks, as it came in before the agreed upon delivery date. We did however think it strange that the driver who was delivering our unit to us, was able to go on the lot late at night and take our Montana to his house so he could leave very early the next morning. When we called the morning of delivery to get an estimated time of arrival they told us he picked the Montana up at 7 am that morning, when in reality it was taken the day before and they didn't even know it. Makes you wonder about the lack of security.

Excellent news....DW and I are on pins and needles as we await to pick-up our new rig this Saturday after reading about your adventure. Not sure if we could be so calm and collected as yourself under the circumstances.

Any update as to if they have any clues as to where that "little" trailer ended up?

If we see a 3750 with Washington plates out here in NJ we will give you a shout....or call the Staties!

Good luck with the wait.

Glad to hear they are doing the right thing. As for the outside entertainment system, it is a great option if you spend a lot of time outside like we do. Also we are not 18 years old anymore and testing the speaker volume to see how high it goes. We are respectful of our neighbors, even inviting them over to watch a football game occasionally. It extends the living room to the outside.

Totally agree. When I told them I didn't order it, they said well, do you like it. I was trying to be diplomatic about it, as I see no need for a stereo or TV on the outside of the trailer to annoy your neighbors, so I said something like its okay. Then they said well would you have ordered it, and I finally just said no. And moot point now as it is a forced option.

Thanks Ron and Cathie. Ours came in earlier than agreed on as well. They were quick to offer to store it, but I hope they think twice before they do that any more. Ours was apparenlty just sitting out behind the CW retail store where the overnighters stay from what we can gather. No fencing there, but the sales lots seem to be fenced okay.

Thanks Bigboomer. Well, we may seem calm, but is has been pretty stressful not knowing how it would turn out. The police did say they "had some leads". I guess they end up as hunting cabins, meth labs, or just parted out. Not sure what happens if they find it now. I guess we would just sign it over to CW if it is salvagable.

Rich is correct, you possibly will have some new features that were not available. The production runs tend to change each six months from what I have seen on the forum, hopefully you get a pleasant surprise or two for your troubles.

We do not like outdoor entertainment centers. It was a deal breaker if we found a coach with one, that coach was ruled out...it would never get used and takes up valuable storage space. We do not go 'camping' to listen to other folks music.

LOL Hooker...........I love your statement of "camping". I told my daughter when we had the 3400 that we was taking the camper out camping that weekend after we first got it. She says "DAD" this is not camping in this thing. I laughed and said you are so right daughter. Just made me snicker a bit..........

But then again, its still camping isn't it?

We have always called all our rv's campers because that is what they were back in the old days.We get called on that on another forum because I guess in some circles it is a insult.
BTW If a new camper came in with a outside entertainment system that I did not order I would take it as long as we did not have to pay extra for it and that is usually the way it works.
