Tire Blown
Sitting here in a campground in Gulf Shores AL. this afternoon and a trailer, NOT a Montana that happen to be a 2011 . We were just sitting and all of a sudden we here a tire blow. Everyone looks around including the owner of the trailer and he can't find nothing. About an hour later he walks by the spare tire for his rig, and low and behold it is blown right in the tread. The tire has never ever been on the road, brand new!! And guess what kind? The infamous Goodyear Marathon.
Sad that these tires can't even hold air with no use and still blow!!!

Oh man, I was cruising down US77 north of LaGrange, TX yesterday when I had to dodge a pile of rubber in the road. Sure enough, a little farther down the highway, there sits a fiver on the shoulder. No way I would run those tires that come on the fifth wheels. It's just like playing Russian Roulette.

Scary to say the least. Ok I got one here for the tire guru's. Has anyone ever heard of the tire called "Sailun"? And if so, whats your take on them? Myself never heard of them.

I am curious if the guy had ever checked his spare for pressure. About the only way I would believe that could happen is an over inflated tire and add heat. Just curious.

Yup, fully inflated during winter temperatures then a warm-up? Likely could happen!

Thats a possibility, but highly unlikely. I have raced cars and put tires through severe punishment. The one thing we usually look at is the tires temps. It has been my experience that you will only gain maybe 10 lbs. And thats raising the tire from current temp to 230+ degrees.
My guess is, the way the tire was built, and where it was built. Thata just MHO!
