Lippert Level-Up (Is it Worth the Cost?)

Considering the installation of the Lippert Level Up system. Has anyone had this system installed? Was it worth the investment. Any discounts out there for the system? Really appreciate any feedback on the Level Up. Thanks

We read all the marketing from Lippert on the Level up system but I am dubious that the frame on our 2006 3400 is strong enough to support that system. Marketing says you can not twist the frame with the 6 point system......hummmmm.

I know Ron and Rose Helmick had it installed on their 2007 3400 last fall before the Fall Rally and swear by it! Maybe Ron will drop in here and comment!

Had it installed on our 2955 and love it. Right now we're at Disney Fort Wilderness on a cement pad and we're rock solid. The new front landing gear is much faster than the electic jacks, making hook-up and disconnect much quicker. Pulled in here, lifted the rig off the TV, hit the button and in less than a minute it was level. Beats carring all that lumber around, although I do still have some 12x12 pieces to put under the jacks if on soft ground. The last I knew the only place to have it installed is at TrailAir in Goshen.

We Have the system and like it. If you get the Rally price this fall I think it would be well worth it.
It make it a lot easier and faster to set up.

We have it also. I don't think there has been a negative posting regarding the system. You may want to do a search as there are a lot of postings regarding Lippert and the Big Foot systems.

The press release of June 2010 for the initial product launch states the operator cannot operate the unit in such as way as to cause undo stress on the frame. Being out there less than a year I would look at the warranty and repair clause real closely. We are spreadsheeting up options for a new 3400RL. One dealer has informed me I can get the Lippert Levelup System, painted coach, Goodyear tires and the shower option... together known as the Big Sky Option for $10250 retail. Bigfoot wants $3800 plus installation. We are seriously considering the option. It will be of interest to follow other Lippert Level Up owners experiences. Good luck with your research and choice!

Cheers,

Robert & Kerri

We are like Ron & Rose, got it at Goshen last year at the fall rally discount! We are so very glad & pleased! The ease of set-up & take down has eliminated many steps! Also with 6 "legs" on the ground the stability is greatly improved!

I believe you are considering attending the Fall Rally, if I remember correctly. You can ask many questions then & hopefully they will discount greatly again!

Ellis,

What I have seen on the MOC has been good for the Level Up System. Only complaint I remember reading on MOC, was a couple post when the temperature was really cold.

I have my Monty schedule for March 17 to get Bigfoot installed in Lakeland, FL. If you are thinking about Bigfoot as a option, contact Plug-It-Right http://www.plugitright.com/BigFootLevelers.html first, will save you $800, and installation is still done by Quadra (Bigfoot manufacturer).

We have six legs on the ground on our Lippert system. Lippert owns JT Stabillizers and tells you there is no need for them with their system. The legs work together, not on independent pumps. That is why you can not stress the frame like on an independent system. In 28 degree weather our legs where slower retacting than normal.

Working with Kara now on pricing for the Lippert Level Up system installed. We are still in west Phoenix, Arizona, then on to Texas for the month of March. Start heading north towards Chicago area for mid April, so if we get a reasonable installed price, I may slip over to the Lippert Factory to have them installed. Thanks for all the replies, I think it would be a great feature as many of the 2011s are now putting them on as an option.
Also looking at hydraulic disk brakes and have come across some very attractive prices for the Titan/Kodiak Kit.

That is next years up grade for me. Will upgrade to the IS system at the same time.

The fall rally price is $3600. They will not be charging the $900 installation fee. They are also developing a remote control and are trying to have it ready by the Fall rally.

Joe-- Where did you come up with that price for the Fall Rally already? We normally don't get any special pricing from any of the companies until just before the Rally itself!

I would think if you consider the time/effort saving is worth the cost, it's the way to go. I've noticed the members have many different ideas of what is worth comfort and security. Some insist the G-614's are it, others are happy with the less rated tire. Some justify the IS as cost effective. It's all "to each his own". The MOC'ers have lightened my wallet a couple thousand dollars and you can color me safer and happy for it. OBTW, I consider manually leveling the Monty "special bonding time with my wife", as is "lets play hide from my DH while backing".

Our "special bonding" started unbinding until we got the level up. Louise thinks it's the greatest and who am I to argue????????

Mike-- I have a feeling you're going to pay for that last comment if the DW sees it!

Thomas, was that just recent in 2010, as the prices are running $5000 plus now. Still haven't received a confirmation on a better price yet.
