Going For Time
Hi All
My wife and I will be buying a Montana not sure which model yet but we like the Montana's the most of all we have seen..And will be buying a new truck to tow with either a Dodge 3500 or a Chevy 3500..Can't wait to get on the road fulltime next year..Who knows maybe well get to sooner...

Hello Hockeyzan,
Welcome to the MOC, Lot's of members have been here at the MOC for a year or more before buying their trailer & TV.
This is a great place to learn, and get lots of advise on this, that , & whatever.
Interesting name you have chosen. Have fun learning about all the Montana's out there.

It sounds like you have half the battle figured out. Finding the truck and coach is the hardest part, all you have to do now is pick the floor plan that best fits your needs. As others have said, be sure to ask all the questions you have. One of our members will be more than happy to lend their experiences and advice.

By picking the Montana line you have hlaf the battle won.
But finding that just right floor plan can be a daunting task but with a little perseverance you will find the one that just jumps out at you and says "HERE I AM". We took 9 months of searching and found our first Monty back in 2003. We have never questioned our decision. We purchased one of the smaller Montys, the 2955RL, back than and just this past summer we found it getting a bit small. We knew we had to upgrade and without considering any other brand we bought our second Monty, the 3485SA.
As far as the TV, I am a die hard GMC/Chevy fan but that is not to say that the Dodge won't do the job just as well.
In the mean time if they're any questions feel free to jump in and ask away.

I believe you'll find the Montana to be a very good coach. As far as Tow Vehicles any of the big 3 will meet your needs. It all comes down to preference and what you like. The same statement applies to gas vs diesel. You'll find a lot of info on this Forum. Some opinions will biased but you can quickly detect those. What ever you choose regarding Floor plans and Tow Vehicles you will find good support here on the MOC.

Welcome to the Moc family! Dano and I are so glad that we bought a Montana and found this forum. We never can seem to settle for second best with anything. We know we spent more than we could have, but once you've been in a Montana, you just have to pick one of them! lol It is definately worth the extra! Glad to see you posting right away! Hi, and welcome to the forum! It sounds like you have made the easy decisions already. The only advice I will offer at this point is to choose your trailer first and then buy the TV it needs and you want. If going for the "whole enchilada" like you plan (me too) you don't want to limit your trailer choices by getting "not enough" truck first. Once again, welcome to the forum and Happy Huntin'. Bob

This is a good place to learn about Montana's and Trucks...We joined the forum 1 year before we purchased the Tv and 3400.Made it a lot less stressful. We are not full timers but long timers..we have been on the road now for nearly 60 days in our 06 3400 and find it very easy to live in.

Welcome to the forum and take your time making your choice. There are a lot of floor plans available and you want the one that is right for you. Think about what is important to your routine and how you are going to be using your rig. Have fun with your selection and we will see you down the road.
