New Pin Box
Well here is the question i have a stander pin box and I'm wondering what you all thing about these different one for an upgrade after having so much damage to my pin box (9,203.79) and by the way to all "Keystone just told me that is nice and i should take it to the shop and get it fix". any way back to the question which one would you use in the pin box Mor Ryde, Fifth Airborne, or Trail-air

Pin boxes are around $800 - $1500 depending on model ... what damage was $9000 plus out of curiosity? An aftermarket pinbox recomendation depends on if you want to just get rid of the "chucking" or if you also want to add in an up/down dampening as in an air cushion. The Mor Ryde and Glide Ride pin boxes are good for just eliminating the "chucking" ... most others also have an air bladder to soften the rough roads. They empty your wallet a bit more.

I have the Trailair and am happy with it but I have talked to others that have the Mor Ryde and the 5th Airborne and are equally happy. Like stated above, Trailair and 5th Airborne have the air bladders to absorb the "ups and downs" rather than just the "chucking".

I installed a 5th Airborne and am very happy with it. Did not have a lot of chucking to begin with and the new pin box eliminated almost all of that. Plus softens the ride for the truck and trailer.

well i have a real bad frame flex and the hole front end is getting tore off and all the welds are getting re-done and strengthen so i just want make sure this will not happen again but i known that most of the damage was because of manufacture defect

After 2 frame failures we went with Trail Air Tri glide. Can't believe how much better trailer pulls and rides. $$$$ but would do again.

Mor Ryde, Fifth Airborne, or Trail-air
We all have our favorite because that is what we have. I have the trail air, but any one of the 3 will work equally well.They are all good products.

I have a 5th Airborne Sidewinder we love it. It takes the place of a slider in a short box truck.It makes the trailer pull like a two foot shorter trailer.

We upgraded to the Trail Air Triglide and would do it again. The ride is soooooo much better, and we are not beating up the Monty or the truck.

I have the 5th Airborne and it does a very fine job. I now question though if my money wouldn't have been wiser spent on a air ride hitch instead. Especially if you plan on getting a new fiver down the road. Pin box's have different mounting holes between models. Which means that if you decide to go to another unit you have to buy another after market pin box possibly. But the hitch stays with the truck and would take care of any trailer. If you get a new truck you may have to have a different mount at the most for the hitch.

Combination of Firestone Riderite air bags and MorRyde works for us. And they've been to Alaska and back without anything breaking. Not sure anything will completely soften the blows of bad frost heaves at too high speeds tho.

I think the best combination is the Mor-Ryde hitch pin for the trailer and a Hensley Trailer-Saver air hitch for the truck, expensive, but well worth it for many of the reasons stated above. Other combinations work also but if I was to do it again I would have the same setup. You might look into the Mor-Ryde independent suspension with disc brakes also. Softest ride around for a fifth wheel, not to mention superb braking ability.....
