Rain Spout removal

My rig has drain spouts on the end of the tracks where the slides open. There doesn't seem to be any functionality since I dont' have the canopy covers over the slides. I think with the covers, when the slide is open the water drains off the canopy to the track and off via the spouts on each side. My issue is that the edges of these spouts are sharp and I don't want them to tear my cover. These look like they should just pull off but I don't want to break them. Has anyone replaced these and able to explain how they can be removed?

I'm pretty sure , not positive that behind the plastic insert on the gutter rail is a screw holding the spout on at the end. Don't you have the same spouts at the front and back of the roof gutter rail on each side of your fiver also??? They do help (not cure) in keeping down the black streaks.
You might try using painters tape to keep the adhesive issue down and taping halves of tennis balls over the spouts while tarped up.

We used a round floating noodle with the hole in the middle we got from the dollar store, cut off a four inch piece for each of the rain gutter down spouts and used duct tape to hold them in place as we put the cover on. Worked well to protect the cover over the winter (6+ months on) and is very inexpensive.

I do pad with noodles. Doesn't the tape (holding the noodle on) leave adhesive on the trailer? I tried the noodle but it won't "stay" without help. :S

I put the tape on the noodle and then only on the seam between the cap and roof. not much adhesive is left behind and what is is high on the roof.

Like I mentioned earlier ... us painters tape as it will leave minimal residue behind. Alcohol or WD40 will remove any that does transfer.
