2012 3585SA

Any 3585SA owners wish to comment on their satisfaction level with theirs? Am considering trading our 2008 3400RL and am mainly interested in how you like/dislike rear kitchen. Like the floorplan and think we would be comfortable with it in our current lifestyle (retired/fulltiming). Thanks.

Boy, I must have picked a dud! 38 reads and no replies. Surely they have sold 1 of these.

We have had ours for two years and really like the rig. Lots of living room space and like the rear kitchen. Never a problem with anything shifting in the kitchen area during transit. Would be nice if there was an actual computer desk or just plain desk instead of the pull out under the kitchen counter, but that does not really bother me that much. With tablets and e-books, a desk really is not necessary. Our critters like it as well since there is enough room in the living area that they don't have to move every time someone gets up. We have also gotten ten other folks into the living area for snacks. Give it a little time, I'm sure you will get more in-depth comments.

Good friends of ours have just spent their 1st summer in theirs and they just love it. Compared to our 3455SA it certainly is a very open floor plan and we as well find it very appealing. We looked closely at buying this model but we just couldn't be without our desk area for my laptop and Maureens quilting machine and serger and #2 the location of the sofa bed. We rise early to walk our dogs and in the 3585 we would have to skirt around those sleeping over to access the kitchen and morning coffee. As far as dishes shifting, they haven't had any more problems than we have had with a mid-kitchen in the 3455.

This is our second year with ours and we love it.We couldnt get past the sink in the bedroom on many of the models and as mentioned before we have had several people over to watch a movie.
And the kitchen is great .

We have a 2007 3585 SA and LOVE IT! The rear kitchen is great, and that huge living area can't be beat. We are fulltimers with two full-grown Australian shepherds and an elephant-sized cat, and there's still plenty of room in our trailer for all of my beading stuff, my teaching stuff, a computer, a printer . . . you get the idea. We wanted a private, all-in-one bathroom and a large living area, which is why we chose the 3585 SA. The floor plan suits us to a T.

My brother also has a rear kitchen in his 2007 Montana (can't remember which model he has; it only has 2 slides, however, and shower and sink are in the bedroom). He loves the rear kitchen because it gives him more living area, too, even with only 2 slides.

We have a 2006 2955RL, but our friends have a rear kitchen and they have so much room. I really love the center island in the kitchen. Lots of space in the "living room". I would consider it for next time except I think I would miss the large rear window when we pull into a beautiful sight. Also, I am not sure about all that weight in the rear. I'd be interested in hearing other thoughts about the weight distribution. Joanie

We absolutely love our 08 3585SA for many of the reasons mentioned. DW and I love the wide open space and the fact that the kitchen is not in the living area. If I can talk the DW into it, I would like to get some small barstools for one on each side of the kitchen island. We too have no issues with plates etc shifting in the rear. Everything sits where it supposed to. We also really appreciate the separate toilet/shower area away from the bedroom. For us it is win/win.

We have a 2009 3585SA. I looked at all the floor plans and specifically chose this one. I thought when I chose it that it was the very best floor plan (very practical) and I still do feel that way after two years using it. I know other Monty floor plans are great as well, but this one is our favorite. I love the larger, "unobstructed" living space and the rear kitchen. I love the walled off bathroom (sink in bathroom too). It simply is the very best layout for us. I am very satisfied with the 3585SA. If I had it to do over I would not hesitate to buy the 3585SA again. I pull it with my SRW 2011 Ford F350 (had the 2009 SRW f350 prior to the 2011 and it did fine too) and have had no problems. Good Luck!

My brother has a 2009 3585SA and they LOVE it. We have a 3605RL and ours also has the open living room as well but there is something about the 3585 that my wife and I both love.

Good luck,
Tim
