Best emergency road service

I am fixing to hit the road and am interested in what emergency roadside assistance service that Montana owners might suggest. There are many to choose from!! I will be traveling mostly in the southwest and southern states. Any suggestions?

Welcome aboard gherman49...

After reading up up this forum, I have joined Good Sam and added their Emergency Road Service as an add on. They will tow both your tow vehicle AND trailer/5th wheel.

Total cost for both for first year to me was under $100...I got a discount for Good Sam with my membership to Camping World...LOL...ok - one hand feeds the other it seems.

We have Good Sam now, did have Camping World. They both use the same basic service provider, it's the cost and extras that may make a difference.

I also vote for Good Sam as their road service is outstanding and by joining Good Sam you also get a 10% discount in many campgrounds.

We've had Good Sam Road Service for years and have used them 3 or 4 times. Always great service, they call back to check on status and make sure you are safe. Highly recommend them.

We've had the Good Sam ERS for many years. What I like is not only will they send two trucks to tow both the TV and the FW, they also understand what is needed to do that. Services designed primarily for automobiles often send a truck to tow the FW that is no way built to handle the load nor do the drivers have a clue. There may be exceptions but I'm more comfortable knowing if I need it there will be someone there who has done this before.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

I have Coach-Net roadside service. I chose them over Good Sam because while doing my research I found Coach-Net was the 1st choice for road side programs for many Class A and Bus conversion owners. They are able to handle and size rig on the road, and do not have a dedictuble or a limit on how many times you can use them, or how many miles they will tow your truck or coach for repairs. The vast majority of my rv friends are in 40-45' diesel pushers, and this is what they swear by. I figure if it is good enough for a $1.6M Prevost H3-45 owners, than it is good enough for me. =)

Good Sam, Coach-Net, Camping World. They're all good. You won't go wrong with any of them. We have had Camping World's Road Service since the beginning of our travels in 2000, before Affinity bought RRR Emergency Road Service. Great service, just like Good Sam and Coach-net. Take your choice.

We have Good Sam now because they have service in Alaska and Canada. Before that we had AAA with the added RV coverage. They were very good to us for several years. We only changed to Good Sam because of their additional coverage that we are traveling in. So far (knock on wood) we have not needed them.

Thanks for your input. Sounds like I can't go wrong. I will probably opt for Good Sam.

Thanks again,

Well now Dave I ain't so sure about their judgement. Afterall they did buy Motor Homes and not 5ers and certainly not Montana's.

I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself.
