If you have a blow out
If you have a blow out inspect all the other tires carefully. You may see tell-tell signs that another tire will blow soon or in distress. This is true in a number of cases about the tire on the same axle as the one that blew especially with ST tires.
I know from experience. Luckily I spotted the problem with the second tire before it blew. After all my tires were inspected by a tire shop all of them had to be replaced..

X2 here
When I had the 2 blowouts, the tire dealer discovered the cords in the other 2 tires had separated as well. I feel a lot better having 5 G614s on the rig now.

Whether Chinese tires or not, once you have a blowout the remaining tire is stressed due to having it's load doubled and is subject to failure very soon.

Good Advice George! We had this experience on our old Montana. We were headed for Florida and had a tire blow and luckily got over without any damage to the rig. When the Roadside Assistance guy got there, looked at the other tires and told us to head directly to a dealer to have all the tires replaced. They looked good on the outside but they were age cracking on the inside and that's what made the first one blow. Headed to a dealer and had all five replaced including the spare even though it had not been on the ground. It was past the year requirement for replacing.

A Tire dealer in AZ told me that Goodyear tires rot or fail from the inside. Outside inspection is just not going to show an upcoming failure. Did you have a tpms to show it was running hot?
what is going on inside.

I think I have better advice, and you won't have a blowout, GET RID OF THE OEM ST TIRES.
Lynwood
George does have great advice. My brother and I went to Wyoning years ago. We had our first blowout in Nebraska. It was Sunday so there was no place to get another tire. Later in the day about 20 miles from Laramie we had another blowout. Now with no spare and a 7200 pound 5er what to do. We checked the other 3 tires and sure enough one had a bulge on it big as a football. We limped into Laramie on the sholder at 20 MPH. Monday morning a friend in Laramie took us to get a new set and not knowing because I wasn't a member here we bought another set of ST tires. Sure enough my brother a few after that had a blowout on one of those on a trip to Texas and had to replace all of them.

A shame it's that way, but it's true.

I guess I am a quick study. Took possession of my rig on Thursday spent that day and Friday doing the PDI inspection. On Saturday took it to a Discount Tire store and had all the Trail Kings replaced.
