Bedroom shades...can they be swapped?

Here I lay with day/night shades in 3 windows in the bedroom of this week old 3791RD where the DW and I will sleep every night we're camping. Window shades are all "lit up". It is very bright in here.

I look back to the rear den area (where someone may sleep from time to time) and the room is dark because there are pull down shades that let in no light.

We really like the new rig but this doesn't seem to make sense.

Can these be swapped out?

It doesn't make sense, but those of us who's rigs came with day/night shades only do have ways we've figured it out. In our bedroom we use pieces of foam board cut to the shape of the window. They fit in behind the valance and when we want light we take them out and store them. They're a 1/4" thick each so they store in many places no problem.
