Electrical panel Guillotine

I bet Jim Fisher will read this and nod his head... yep, been there.
I removed an old really heavy electrical panel cover, it had a puny L-shaped stop on the bottom that 'could' work, if the panel wasn't warped. I removed the screw-clamps and BAM! it fell to the floor just missing my Piggies. 4 or 5 people came running over from the mall to see if I was dead...
So, I took it to the shop and Ozz-engineered it with 2 good catches.
Works super now!

That's why I always wore safety shoes when I was working on the shop floor. I didn't like them, but I liked my tootsies and was determined to keep them! Glad it missed your!

I hate those old panels. Those dogs that are supposed to hold the cover in place hardly ever work right.

Managed to dump several similar things on my toes over the years in similar ways. One of the reasons I don't wear sandals without socks.
