Riverstone
Has anyone seen the Riverstone 39RKFB...? an ad popped up on my wife's FB yesterday so she looked at it, all I can say is WOW !!!
Standard features: Full body paint, Solar pre installed, Battery bank with drawer slides that holds at least 4 6v batteries. Prep for propane generator. Outside area where kitchen trash is dumped into for easy trash removal. 3 easy start AC units, 1 with heat pump. outside TV, 6 point level system. Residential fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer stackable preinstalled, Bose surround sound 60 inch 4k tv, a lot of counter space, a laundry shoot, big TV in the bedroom, (NO BATH TUB UGH) walk in cedar lined closet, 2 fireplaces, 2 bathrooms, the one I saw had a huge cook top 4 burner and a big oven also with a convention/micro.
Im sure I missed something !! These look really nice A lot of things I added come standard, and well the price reflects that. I have seen them as low as 85K and as high as 135K.
They sure look pretty !
Tony

Glitz and glamor and bells and whistles sell. And you pay for it. But is quality any better? Who knows?

There is no window in the entry door. That looks cheap. Not a fan of that. The rest of it looks nice.

No, I haven't seen one, but did see a CedarCreek at the local RV show last weekend that had the stove you mention. That is a NICE stove / oven. While we like the size of the oven in our Montana, the 3 burner arrangement is the greatest. It has it's pluses and minuses...

I believe Riverstone is a Forest River. If you check RV recalls or google problems with Riverstone's or just check Forest Rivers recent rep you will run, not walk away. We had a forest river many years ago we loved, but wouldn't go there now.

Forest River has 19 different 5er brand names including the new Riverstone. How many is too many?
Keystone ONLY has 10.

“NO BATH TUB UGH!”
X2...that’s a deal killer partner!
Last2die and me might be the last “tub-centric” RVers on the road today.

kitchen with no island. Rear kitchen WITH pantry. Double sinks, and 2 baths. Would be hard to keep DW out of that one. Agree with Dick on FR quality

Wife and I have seen all the Riverstone models. Fit and finish of the interior is great. Wife love the front kitchen and it is on her short list. They are heavy, but come with 8k axles and disk brakes. Frames have been reinforce for the weight. Price is a bit more than the Montana's but they do come with some extras ( washer/dryer, duel pane windows, Samsung microwave and 60" Samsung tv and more) that you pay for in a Montana. Ya being owned by Forest River is a concern, but since they are built in the own factory I not so sure that they are built worse than Keystone. I think it comes down to picking the right dealer. It is all a crap shoot in the end. We will be at the Tampa show next week and plan to talk number with the reps.
Your mileage may vary.

I did go to their website, forums similar to MOC, similar issues maybe a little less. At the end of the day I think they were happy, and yes I think the dealer made the difference. The dealer had mine for 6 months fixing things didn't read anything that bad. Forgot about the disk brakes and there axles. I may need to keep an eye on their forum and see what's going on, ill say its tempting...

When you say the problems may be less, think how many more Montana’s are out there.
Just saying.

Bathroom door?
I noticed in the "Explore 3D" walk-thru that the door to the half bath is removed. It looks to be a "swing" door because there is a door stop on the floor to keep the door from hitting the lower step.
I prefer the "ships door" on my half bath. It has served us well, even though I know some folks have had trouble with it.

I know many, including myself, are reluctant to buy a new vehicle after significant new model year changes have been made to let the new bugs be worked out by someone else. Wonder if the same concerns should apply to a newly introduced RV.
I know Montana introduces new floorplans regularly, but the basic construction is still the same.

MidMoTraveler and Last2Die ... We travel more in State and Corps Parks than say parks geared for full to long timers. FR products are just as plentiful as Keystone units. With today's manufacturing mindset of quantity over quality ... you'll have horror stories on any RV website.

Someone here said the frame is reinforced? I would like to see how? Our Montana 3820FK had to be in the shop for 2 months as the took the whole front cap off, and re-welded and added strength to the frame as the 3820FK was the heaviest Montana in 2017 and the standard Lippert frame had some flexing issues. I watched a video on this Riverstone model you mention and the guy said it has an empty weight of 16,900 pounds. That is a lot of weight if this is the standard Lippert 5th wheel frame they are using? The reason we went to our SOB was it has triple box steel tubing and the frame is built like a tank, and it has 9k axles and disc brakes, but the empty weight is 19,000 pounds! So again, how many things can they add to make the inside more glitzy, and then not beef up the construction of the frame, which is what the whole thing rides on?
