Power Cord re-tractor malfunction

I have a 2018 3731FL with a power cord re-tractor. When I attempt to use it to pull in or let out the cord, I can hear the motor running but no movement of the drum. Has anyone experienced this? Were you able to repair it yourself? It appears the only way to get to it is to take the entire side panel off. Any advice/suggestions welcome.
