HC 305RL tire question help

I have a 2018 High Country with Ranier 12 ply load range F tires. Have about 8000K on them. Keep reading about tire issues. What would be a good replacement tire. I know Sailuns are talked about, any other brands. What should I look for as far as ply and load range? Thanks for looking.

Sailuns. I can’t think of any reason to buy anything else. They are cheap and dependable.

The rims are rated for G tires. I would take Lynwood's advice.

Thanks guys. Just need to find them in Illinois. Step daughter works for Ford, they always say they can get any tire as well as beating price so we will see if they can get the Sailuns.

I think most of us order them at simple tire.

I checked for a Commercial Tire Shop to mount them.
Most of the tire stores around me do even not have sufficient room to get a fiver in front of their shop.

Paid 80$ for mounting and I bet they made money on my leftover rainiers

I don’t like to do brands. This is just about tires in general.

There are a lot of ST tire manufacturer’s now building the steel cased ST235/80R16 LRG and ST235/85R16 LRG tires. The availability for some of them is much better than others. The longest known ST tire builder makes them and they are available at big box stores like Walmart.

There is another unique tire size – not steel cased – being built here in the USA. It’s the ST255/85R16 LRE that provides 4080# of load capacity at 80 PSI. It’s draw-back is height, 33.1” and it’s rim size, 6.5” – 8-“ with 7” used as it’s measuring rim size.

IMO, the best upgrade is to stick to the original tire’s designated size and go up a load range, if available.

Mesnac Co is the parent company. It’s a Chinese Co.
After you ask I to was curious so I Googled it. Google, who makes Sailum tires and you will find more than you can read.

After removing all 4 Sailuns one at a time to get TPMS valve stem installed. Those Sailuns are heavy tires. And the 4th one is heavier than the first.

I pulled the 5er just 43 miles from the dealer to the tire shop. Had the same Rainer LR F tires OP has. Had Sailun 235/85/16 installed. Dealer gave me $30 each for the Rainier.

Here is a Sailun load & inflation chart.
See bottom of page two for wheel info.
