Another Marathon bites the dust

Within 3 months I have managed to take out 4 Marathons. Two were punctures. One a "broken belt" and today I found the tire has scrubbed down exposing the steel belt in one patch for about a foot. I now need to find a replacement set.
G614's seem to be the most talked about however Costco are offering Michelin XPS RIB with seemingly good warrantees such as Road Hazard and mileage. Have others used these tires with good results?
Does this patch of scrubbing signify a bent axle or something else?
I would appreciate any feedback.

If it's just a patch I would be more inclined to think it was a locked up brake....And yes RIB's are a very good tire as well as most any LT tire should do if you have 6000 lb axles and Marathons. If you do a search you will find many lengthy posts on this subject.. But most of all get rid of the Marabombs......

Dave is correct. If you have a heavier rig go with the G rated tires. If your rig is lighter many of our members have had good luck with the Michelins.

I have about 15,000 miles and 5 years on my XPS Ribs on my 3075RL. Still look almost new. Have never had a flat or even a low tire in that time.

Sitting here in Branson MS, with a Montana next to me, side torn up, Marathon Blew. Keystone needs to get off the stick and start taking care of customers buying their high end products.

I just replaced all the Marathons with BF Goodrich TA's as suggested here on the forum. I had about 1800 miles on the tires and we wanted them off before we headed to the Fall Rally. I was curious as to the weight of the trailer on the truck so I took it to the scales at the local Flying J and discovered that the weight supported by the 4 tires was just about 10500 lbs loaded for camping. The weight rating on the TA was listed as 3042 lbs so 4 times that amount, 12168 lbs, was adequate for the 3100RL's weight. They were half the cost of the G614s that I was considering.
