What is the actual voltage at the batteries? You can test them together (12V) or individually (6V) without disconnecting any wires. See if one is bad.
Don't do this while charging from the truck or converter.

Make sure your batteries are not disconnected, depending on how they are wired this could keep the batteries from charging. After checking your batteries without a charger running assuming they are good, I would check to see what voltage is across the batteries with a charger running.

My residential refer has 2 12 volt batteries. Also, I hate to sound like captain obvious, do your batteries have sufficient water? I know dumb question but still sometimes it's the small things we sometimes overlook.

If you have power at the plg then you must have an open circuit in the pigtail. There is a box with the connections in the overhang.

As RoadRunnerTR21 states, we also have 2 separate 12 volt batteries for our residential fridge. Was this changed recently to 12 volt batteries, replacing 6 volt units?

Richard, we could be of more help if you would answer our questions.
You said you had you had 14.5V from the truck and 14.5V from the converter. Where are you putting your test leads to get this information?

If you are measuring 14.4 volts across the battery posts (not the clamps) then the charging voltage is there. That leaves the possibility of a bad battery(s). If they are the original batteries and 3 yrs or more old, one or both could be failing.
If you have recently installed the two 6 v batteries, then you may have a connection issue.
