Presidio to Lajitas on Rio Grande

Has anyone driven Texas 170 from Presidio to Lajitas? I did it years ago with a 5th wheel and can only remember a really beautiful drive along the Rio Grande -- with lots of hills and up and downs. Any changes in the past 30 years???

Still awesome. Road is better. One of my favorite rides, generally ride it on my motorcycle.

We drove it about three or four years ago but were not towing. We were staying in Terlingua. It was a beautiful drive and good road at that time. I remember there was one or two 10% grades, I think it was, and at the time I thought I'd not want to tow it. But since that time we have done a couple of 12 percenters and one 14 percenter so the 10 percent I'd consider doable.

Somewhere on that drive, on the river side is an old movie set. One of the buildings is reminiscent of the Alamo. This is a movie set used in the movie "Streets of Laredo." When I found that out I'd wished we had stopped to explore it a bit.
