Angry 2018 HC305RL Quality Control

I purchased a new 2018 HC305RLin May 19th 2018. Took it on our first trip and this is what I found everytime I pulled over to use the bathroom.

The leaking gear box is a common problem. Take it back to the dealer. As for the molding if you wont them to stay on put them back on your self. This is the way this stuff is built, make it look good and shove it out the door.

Its a shame but they don't build them like they use to. I am defiantly keeping my 2011 forever. IMHO anything but a hydraulic slide is cheap junk that will need constant attention.

I agree, after fixing 'all' the little things I would not want to start all over again.

Reattach it in a manner that you can remove them when you want for ease of maintenance. If this is the worst thing that happens to the trailer I would say you are very lucky.

Well he has to deal with the leaky gear boxes and getting his slide roofs repaired. That is not tivial.

If you are at the fall rally and on the factory tour ask your tour guide what the quality control checks are at each assembly station.

Everyone keeps saying they don't build them like they used to. I had to reattach both of those trim pieces on my 2010 and rebuild a front closet wall. So far on our 2017 I've only had to rebuild the same closet wall for pretty much the same reason. To me, they still build them like they used too.

Not me. Quality of our 2015 inferior to our previous 3Montana units.

My little dealer says “They are all junk”.
I know this doesn’t make you feel any better but it’s true.

Install the trim back with ring shank panel nails sparingly in case you have to remove trim in the future. The nails will stay and not pull out as long as the nails have a small head on them. I had to renail the wooden flange trim inside the front closet that keeps the door on track. The door kept coming off the track on account the nails wouldn't hold. While our trucks are getting better our rv's are getting worse. I don't think I would want another rv as it takes a lot of money and time to get the improvements you need and want to just trade in every 2 or 3 years.

Mine trim fell off after the dealer replaced roof and gear box - broke the kitchen faucet - gave me a nice upgrade for the return trip back..

thinking that trim needs screws put in from the back - they just used a ton on pin nails. Maybe should have used some GOOD carpet tape to hold while it is properly secured.
