3120RL main door latch

Exciting day.
We took delivery on our 2019 20th Edition 3120RL.
Our previous 5th wheel was a 2012 3100RL

This my next (of many) request for suggestions/help.

The main entry door appears to have friction based hinges. It appears the plan is the friction is great enough to keep the door fully open against the outside wall. Well it was a bit windy and the door slammed shut with a gust of wind.

Looking for suggestion for some sort of durable latch

thanks,
-ed

I would just get this kit, like what is used on non-friction RV doors, to keep the door in the open position. https://www.campingworld.com/camco-s...r-holder-black

Exactly what I used on ours. Also replaced those hinges with regular ones since the OEMs began cracking.

I used the same method. The friction hinge never holds in the wind.
