Bedroom slide manual operation

Just had our 2015 Montana out for the first time. The bedroom slide appears to be broken. When we look on top of the slide on the inside it looks like the center portion which has two chains coming off of it has pulled out of the wall and one of the chains has come off. Can anyone tell me where the manual slide mechanism is so that we can put it in and out until we can get it in to the shop?

I'm guessing you're in a pickle … the slides are moved by cables that are attached to the chains. If your chain gearbox is no longer mounted to the wall … I'd guess you're going to have to find a way to shove/pull it back inside the fiver by hand. The little flex shaft for a hand drill that comes with these slides will only function if it has a mounted gearbox to work with. Hopefully I just don't know the correct answer to your problem.

I would think with enough mussel, it could be pushed in by hand. You will have to jam something in between the wall and the interior slide trim to keep it from drifting out.
