I think I still have my original tube, I replaced it with a longer one that you can buy at most RV supply stores.

You should also be able to get a new one at Trekwood if you can't find someone who has one they don't want. Mine cracked and let the stinky slinky drag behind us on the road (funny picture, but not funny to clean up when it happened). That's when we went to the gate valve which frankly I like better.

I hated the one that came on our 2012 3585SA and also replaced the tube with a longer one and only used it for storage of a backup slinky. Added a twist-on gate valve and was MUCH happier.

Yes, in my humble opinion, the gate valve is the way to go. I wanted to like the boom, I really did, but it was inconvenient at times, depending on the location of the campground sewer. And most times, the amount of hose it held wasn't enough, so I had to store more elsewhere, anyway. Good idea on paper, but not practical in the real world, was my conclusion.
