Montana Makes Front Cover of Trailer Life
The December edition of Trailer Life Magazine has one of the new Montana's on it's front cover. It also has a pretty good article on the Keystone Montana 3931FB starting on page 26 in the magazine. It's a great article and also tells about the new Chevrolet HD that they towed it with. Check it out if you get the magazine and if not find a newsstand that carries it. It's worth the read!

I just received my issue of Trailer Life and saw the new Montana as well. Can't wait to read the article.

And this is the truck they`re promoting that you pull it with?
Not a diesel a low torque gas guzzler? Yes Yes should fall within spec until real life hits and you pack your stuff and use it like your going to camp with it. Probably has a 29 gallon tank that you`ll have to stop and fill up every 200 miles. Or not.

Where is Jim when you need him. He must not of read this yet. We all know he will have a comment. The 3/4 ton is way underrated for this application.

Toilet change?
Did you notice the third sentence in the next to the last paragraph on page 30?
“The Dometic toilet stands besides a 48” by 30” shower enclosure”...
So the 2020s have Dometic toilets not Thetford?
Maybe somebody has been reading this forum!

Ordered 2 Dometics on our 2nd trip before the 1st Thetford leak. As soon as I got home a 310 went into the 1/2 bath and 320 into the main bath. Added a shut off on both water lines.

My truck is a 2017 3500 Duramax dually with airbags.
Advertising a 2500 towing the Montana is not a good message to the public.

Agree 100%. Expected more from TL mag. Chevy probably thought it was a great idea and TL compromised by adding the 350 and doing both. A newb with a 2013 3/4 will think they are good to go.

Would love to buy an RV that has been specially prepared for press testing. They don’t have the problems I have had with new RV’s (or are they just not reported?).

The sticker is just an indication of the wall you need to put the vent, not the exact location. I read about someone drilling a hole through a frame rail so I will take it to the dealer to have main drilled. I figure it's better to pay ones than a lifetime of I told you so.

A 3/4 ton truck, chevy, ford or dodge is not enough truck. try stopping that thing going down a steep mountain grade in an emergency, its called tail wagging the dog, your head lights are shining in the tree tops, my loved ones are too important to me. Good luck with the baby truck.

Got this from a chevy dealer site - https://www.graffchevydurand.com/blo...rado-hd-616240
5th WHEEL/GOOSENECK
Silverado 2500HD - Regular Cab: 17,400 pounds (gas); 18,600 pounds (diesel). Double Cab: 17,000 pounds (gas); 18,200 pounds (diesel). Crew Cab: 16,900 pounds (gas); 18,500 pounds (diesel).
And this is where you see the other towing -
CONVENTIONAL TOWING
Silverado 2500HD - Regular Cab (gas/diesel): 14,500 pounds. Double Cab (gas/diesel): 14,500 pounds. Crew Cab: 14,500 pounds (gas); 18,500 pounds (diesel).

The Trailer Life showed that the 2500HD is a truck to consider. The Chevy 2020 2500HD will work with most/all of our trailers. These trucks are no longer weighted as 3/4 trucks...that was an old term that means nothing today.
Only trouble is they are running about $85K out the door....to expensive.
