Just saw pivot door in a Montana at our local camping world. It looks like a flimsy installation that would not hold up well.I give it a thumbs down.

Our 2015 3440RL has a standard door, two hinges a door knob, works well for us.

X2 What Dick said.

Our 2018.5 3791RD has the pivot door. Seems to work fine since October '17. It does seem rather flimsy and we are careful using it. I'm not sure a hinged door would work well with the small bathroom and placement of fixtures. A good pocket door would interfere with all the electrical in the hall south of bathroom. Can easily get to bathroom and bedroom with slides in.

I've had mine on a High Country 352 RL for three seasons and no problems so far. Much better than the prior arrangement where the bathroom door is hinged on the front of the door assembly and when you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom(like most old people do) you have to walk past the door from the bedroom side, down the stairs then back up>

2018 HC331RL. Plenty of room for hinges and door swings into bathroom. Not a hard modification. Great access with slides in

2018.5 3811ms Legacy here, pivot door works fine. Seems flimsy but allows easy access.

I am interested in the details of how you made the conversion to hinged door instead of pivot on your 3721rl. Do you have to router the frame and the door for hinges? and then add a stop. If so this sounds serious. Can you advise me how you did it?

Thank You for any advice
Allan

We have a 2017 Montana 3160RL. The bottom of the pivot door sticks. How do you get to the bottom of the door to adjust it?

We have the pivot door and it feels really flimsy. It really doesn't seem to help with easier access and it also catches the vanity drawers if they are open and someone opens the door.

I am not a fan and when it fails I will replace it with good old fashioned hinges and knob.

Good dealer

Glad you could get dealer to fix. My dealer doesn’t know his ass from hole in ground

Pivot doors in Montana

We have had nothing but problems with our pivot door to the bathroom. It keeps falling apart and off the runner.
