fireplace removal 3810MS

Anyone know how to remove the fireplace? I have to get to the back of the TV to check some wires and splitter location. How do you remove the smoked glass front plate? Don't want to break it!! Thanks John

Not familiar specifically with the 3810MS. But on all four of our Montana units, removal was the same, Fireplace front plate has 4-6 screws, remove, whole thing pulls out. Just be careful with the front glass when removing.

That is what i'm concerned with. How to get the front smoked glass panel off. I gently pulled on it but was affraid to crack it. Are there clips on the backside of the glass?

On mine, the fireplace comes out as a whole unit. You do NOT remove the glass. On mine, there is a metal trim piece, about 1 1/2 wide, around the outside of the fireplace, which slides up and off. It conceals the screws holding the unit. Once off, there are four screws which hold the fireplace in place. Once the screws are out, the whole unit can be removed and unplugged. It is not very heavy.

John&Joyce,
Late to this post. I have the 3811 and same fireplace. Manual shows glass front needs to lift up and then out from top first. It installs with vertical "lugs" that fit into slots on the metal frame. The top of the lug has a curved hook that latches into the slot and slides down. Mine is very tight and I did not feel like trying to get it to remove.

Searched several sites for online copy of the manual to no luck.
Hope you got this figured out.

Removing the fireplace and removing the glass doors have nothing in common. At least for mine and it is a 2016 model. Mine has 4 screws holding the fireplace in place. They are visible as you look at the fireplace.

I also tracked coax to this location to deal with coax connections behind the fireplace. I found a splitter that didn't split the signal. That told me there was no testing of systems at manufacturing.
