Why don't you just leave the galley tank open when sitting, I have always done that and even leave gray open unless I need it for flushing hose after black tank dump. I will close it for a day to store water for flushing hose is all. Granted you are in the rig a lot more than us, but we have never had a tank failure. Just a thought.
