6 Volt Battery Boxes
I am having a real hard time trying to find a SEALED battery box (or boxes) for my two 6 volt Trojan batteries.
These are the flooded type of batteries, so a sealed box would be the safest, then I can attach a vent hose to it and vent it outside the Monty.
So if anyone knows where I can order the box (or boxes) from, that would be great.
Thanks,
Glenn

There are no completely sealed ones - there has to be ports for cables to whatever you're powering. You also REALLY need a vent down low (but not at the bottom) to let air in so hydrogen will vent up and out through the hose. The four t-105 box I bought had the cable cutouts, but I had to cut a hole for a vent. Since I only needed two of the four cutouts, I put duct tape over the unused ones. I had to cut holes in the lid for my vent hose (has two ports) and used PVC fittings for them. They are easily removable and then I can lift off the lid to check fluid.
As to where you can get the size you want, just google GC2 battery cases and find one for two. These aren't as cheap as single ones (even if you get two of them), but they're much better.

If you want a really good set of batteries, get AGMs. They can be put in sealed compartments and mounted upside down if you desire. AGMs and a smart charger and you'll be set for years...put them in the rig and forget about them.

I used a Blue Sea #4201 Dual Battery Box. I modified it for the vent holes. It worked really well. They don't make them any more, but you can still find them on Ebay once in a while:

Thanks for all the info guys. I did check all the sites mentioned but the problem now is that my Trojan 6 volt batteries are 11" tall and most of the boxes I found are smaller then 11".
I have sent a message to the people selling the Blue Sea asking what the inside dimensions are. Moeller Marine also owes me an answer, so I'll keep trying.
Thanks again,
Glenn

As I said in my post, T-105's are group GC2 size. Just find a box for that group.

Thanks DuneBuggyBuilder for the info. Before I posted here, I did do a search on battery box and did come up with a number of hits. But then again I was looking for 'sealed' boxes which didn't come up in any of the postings.

Well after more research and with your guys info, Walt Bennett is correct, there are no 'sealed' battery boxes for the GC2 size. The only sealed one I found was for racing applications using an automotive size battery.
So now I've regrouped and will purchase a standard GC2 box and modify it to what Walt described.
Thanks again,
Glenn
