I had a problem this weekend I thought I would share for someone elses benifit.
The two overhead 120V lights in the slide did not work when we set up camp friday night. So of course I figured it had to be the wiring. After all, they both worked the weekend before. The wall outlet and the wall light worked but not the overhead lights, so I guessed that a wire came loose.
After taking an outlet apart and checking all of the wiring I could get at, I finally decided I could not figure this out without a voltage meter. It was going to have to wait till I got it home.
Then just for the heck of it I put a new bulb in one the lights.
It worked.
#$%^#@@%
What are the chances of both lightbulbs going out at the same time? They were not even being used when they went out.
I figure I must have hit a bump hard enough to break the filaments in both bulbs.
So the lesson is "Check the bulb first". Just because more than one are not working does not mean it is the wiring.
