dually rear wheels
bought my first dually in November. Ford. Not easy to get to the inside air valve because aligned with the outside valve. Any tricks to making it easier besides rotating the outside wheel 180 degrees?

Went through the same thing. Investigated extenders but none fit because of wheel design. Bought a gauge and air chuck that would reach the inside tire. Problem solved.

Yes, especially that inside can be a real pain. Ours now have steel valve stems on and had them rotate one tire on each side to as near to 180 degrees as possible. During towing season we install our TPMS wheel sensors and use the system to check pressure, in the fall the sensors are removed to preserve their battery so our stems only have to be dealt with basically twice a year, Priceless!!!

Thought of air chuck. I tried Northern Tools, Harbor Freight, and the Campbell Hausfeld websites, and could only find the double headed chuck which won't work. This afternoon, those outside wheels will get rotated! Appreciate the feedback.

The compressor I use has a flexible hose which makes it somewhat easier. Another alternative is something like this:
Flex adaptor
I always have the tire guy rotate the outer tire, but never really thought about it being 180 degrees from the other, I usually just have the outer one rotated one lug so the valves are in close proximity of each other.

I have the stems 180 degrees from each other and use the extenders as Kab449 uses.. If you do this put a layer of teflon tape on the extender so they stay tight on the stem. I did have some come loose and the air leaked out. After the teflon, all is well.

My experience is the Dually tires hold thier air very well, so I just take off the Plastic Rims and check/air them up to max weight maybe twice a year.
Really cold weather like we're having now "deflates" them noticably under load, but once on the road and they warm up all is well visually...

I installed steel stems the right length so I get to both stems, that are inline, with ease. Only problem is I haven't figured out how to get the innner stem cap back on. Would think that each style wheel would be a little different.

I just bought some extenders that are Aeroquip made. Steel braided line that is flexable and it comes with a slide mount to hook to the outer wheel so its right there. I haven't put them on yet, but thinking this will work if the mount works.
