Picked up our new 3455 this weekend!!!

This Friday we picked up our new rig after only 1 year in our 3400. I can tell you one thing for sure; Keystone has been listening to its customers. There are a number of new 'little' things that they have done to enhance the experience and usability of the 5er.

I also must say that delivery didn't go without a hitch, literally. After moving all of our stuff from one rig to the other we did our PDI and found a few minor issues that the dealer took care of right away. It was getting late (after 5 on a Friday) when we backed on to the rig. The owner of the dealership and one of his mechanics was there to get us on the road. We noticed that the clearance for the front jacks to the road was minimal. After some discussion, they decided that the pinbox should be lowered. Both the owner and the tech wrenched on the unit to get us going.

After about an hour, we were backing on to the rig again, when the owner stopped us...he said that we were not going anywhere just yet...we had a Superglide hitch and they overlooked the capture plate. He got on his cell, called one of his employees (they had closed hours ago) to help locate the capture plate in their inventory. Fortunately they had one in stock. After another hour or so and a few welds for safety, we were finally on the road.

I was very impressed that the owner of this dealership took such a hands on approach to make this right for us. They get our thumbs up and a 5 star rating....Folsom Lake RV Center, Rancho Cordova, CA. They are a few hours farther than the closest dealer...but in our book, well worth the drive. We spend some time with the service manager as well...one very well run and professional dealership.

BTW, we mentioned this forum as a resource to really get a handle on the pulse of the Montana owners...they joined a few weeks ago.

Congratulations on your new Montana. The 3455 has a nice bathroom setup. Glad the initial setup was satisfactory. Some dealers really go the extra mile. Good luck and safe travels. Dennis

Brenko.... we were there at Folsom Lake RV last weekend looking at Montanas. They have quite a few new and used Montanas on their lot along with Cougar 5th wheels. Not ready to buy yet, but nice to know that they were great to deal with.

Thanks for the report.

Brad,
You're right....The new features are mostly the mods you have done to your rig! I hope you were able to collect a consulting fee!

Congratulations on the new rig, we know how much you'll like it. We also ordered one 2 weeks ago.
While discussing some of the things we've done to our rigs with the salesman, he said they use the R&D approach on designing the new models. That's research and DUPLICATE!
What decor did you get, we ordered the mocha hoping we are happy with a color we haven't seen yet. The pictures they emailed us looks great.

Emmel, we ordered ours in Mocha, after seeing it. I liked it because there are no flowers and i thought it looked real "rich" along with the hickory. Paul doesn't count, he is color blind
