Smell coming from behind the refrigerator.

We have a 2015 3811RL with a residential refrigerator- model #RF18HFENBSP.
We occasionally get a bad smell, like a dirty dish rag smell, coming from behind the fridge. It seems to happen on hot sunny days. I have pulled the fridge out to check behind it and found nothing. The inside is clean with no spoiled food in it. I even hung reflective material on the outside of the RV to keep the wall cooler behind the fridge. Any ideas as to what is causing this or anyone out there have the same problem?

Yes it has an ice maker that we do not use. Water valve to it is off.

The odor is most likely coming from your galley tank instead of reefer.

As this is a residential fridge, is there a drain pan at the bottom that collects water for it when in defrost mode? It is possible, if the fridge does have a drain pan, and it has water in it, and when it's warmer, that it may be dirty along with wet and that may be where the smell is coming from.

Do you know if this model has a water filter? You said you don't use the water/ice but I know that if it has a filter in it and hasn't been changed it can create a smell.
