Window REplacement

OK - bad afternoon - after a storm went thru the storage place called to advise of a broken widow - how much needs replaced? This something I can do? 2017 305FL - guess this is referred to as a frameless window

Storm

What on earth hit it? Did you guys in East Tx get some hail with the rains this weekend?

We got 1” rain today and a few of the storms were windy but nothing else.
I had to drive to San Saba Friday morning and it rained so hard I could not see the road.

No idea what caused it - little to no moisture inside. Will run the AC for a couple days.

could it be something thrown at it by a lawnmower?

If there is no other damage on the rig like on the roof I would think something hit it. Like said thrown from a mower or tree limb. Or some dummy just out to damage things.

Cost 500.00 plus freight 150.00, from keystone thru my dealer.
** ask for new gasket material i had to carefully reuse mine, and clear silicone.

I have a 2013 3100RL. There is an escape window in the large driver's side slide. The pane that actually lifts out was broken by hail stones back in May. The RV repair center tried to get the whole window from Keystone but was told it is obsolete and referred them to another supplier. He tried making contact but no luck so far. He plan is to remove the window and take it to a glass cutting replacement center to get one to fit. That hail storm was devastating. Home repairs over $52,000. Camper repairs $6200. The camper has been at the RV repair center since May 21 first waiting to get approval for repairs and then trying to get two consecutive days of sunshine to replace the vents and skylight along with the entire roof. Told him today that time is running short as we will need it for the Labor Day Weekend.

what type of sealant around the frame? Butyl 3/4" wide? Correct me if I'm wrong - it looks like the process is: Remove valence, blind and then pull all the screws holding it in? Dry fit, Clean surface of 5er and new frame, apply butyl and install … any additional sealant around top half?

I'll let you know in a few weeks when I receive my replacement window. Had the bedroom slide window shattered last week returning from New Hampshire. Don't have a clue what happened, someone mowing their lawn, bird, whatever the outer pane is shattered.

I’ve replaced four windows in another camper at different times. Cost of these from the manufacturer or dealer is insane. Very tough to just replace just the pane. I’ve always found exact replacements on Ebay, and have never been burned. The last time I had to wait several weeks for the right size to appear.

What is everyone using to seal the new windows?

Foam Tape

Butyl Tape

My rear stationary 20 x 73 inch window shattered. I think it was a close lightning hit that caused it by concussion. 3402RL is stored on my property. the two smaller half vents did not break. After trying to get just the glass replaced from three different vendors, I filed an insurance claim ($1000 deductible), Going with Lazydays RV. They have to replace the entire assembly. I guess I will have two lower spare windows! The estimate by a reputable RV glass outfit was more than $1000. Taking weeks to get the part.

Mine is ordered through Tiara RV as local Service Center was of no use/help. $600 is about right for most any of the new frame less windows, but shipping is the killer, approx 1/3 of the window cost, but we've got to have it.
