Weather strips on outside of window frame

While waxing the Monty I noticed the rubber/foam weather strips that fit into the window frames on the outside of the window seem to be shrinking from the UV rays. I'd like to replace them, but I'm not sure if I have order them from a dealer, or if the are available elsewhere. Has anyone replaced theirs, and if so where did you get them? Please advise.

I think your talking about the butyl tape that is applied to the window frame and then the window inserted and tightened down. If that's it, I removed the excess and sealed around the window with silicone, but taking the window out and replacing the tape is probably the best thing to do.

Dick, no I'm not referring to the sealant around the window frame. On the bottom of the outside frame where the small sliding windows open there is a space between
window glass and frame. The space is on the bottom and both sides, The
weather strips that I mentioned fills in and covers/protects the sides and bottom
of the frame. The weather strips are only around the sliding windows. Our
trailer is a 2010- 3150RL, and I assume everyone has the same window that
have a small piece of glass at the bottom that slides open. Check the outside
of your windows where the bottom of the glass slides open.

I have used black auto windshield sealant particularly where a gap has been created because of shrinkage over time.

dpam, on the outside of my sliding windows (used only in one of the slides on the 3800re) there is a window seal that is one piece that fits into a groove in the window. It is the typical "fuzzy hair" form of automotive window seal and is about 3/16 or 1/4 inch wide. If you can't find it locally from one of the many automotive parts stores...then you are left to try to get it from the window manufacturer, Kenro. John
