Bedroom slide creeping open

We have had issues with the bedroom slide opening on its own on our 2010 Montana. We haven't had any luck getting it fixed. I understand others have had this problem. If anyone knows how to fix this. Please email me @ fromero4141@yahoo.com
We are at our wits end.

We needed slide locks on our older unit. They are adjustable and work well. Just remember to remove them when camping. We went this direction because no one could fix our older unit!

Your issue has been talked about over the years from several different MOCers. 9 times out of 10 the cause was leaking piston seals in one of the slide cylinders. One or more seals in any of your cylinders have probably failed ... without the residual system pressure holding your slide in, it slowly works its way out a bit. There is a procedure on the Lippert website to check each slide cylinder ... http://www.lippertrepairparts.com/pdf/0076.pdf

Mine was doing this on the bedroom slide and the fix was for CW to replace 2 cylinders, One in the bedroom slide and one in the large living room slide (both on drivers side). Cost me $1400 for diagnostics, parts and labor but it fixed the issue. That was a chunk of change but the peace of mind having it fixed right was priceless. Lets us concentrate on having fun again.
