Cross connecting thermostats
Has anyone ventured into cross connecting thermostats so when ever you want (at night) you could through a switch and have the bedroom thermostat controlling the heat pump and furnace? Seems like a good idea, or am I not thinking it through?
In my case with In-Command there are just sensors in the kitchen and bedroom.

You can do that with your phone if you change to a Microair thermostat.

Your going to run into CANBUS issues if you try to do this.. the current setup is that zone 1 thermostat controls HP and furnace modes...
The furnace signal wires are plugged into Zone 1 controller and this is what turns furnace on or off.
You’d have to figure out how to share those signal wires (two blue wires) that run from zone 1 AC control down to furnace igniter module..

Yes, but remember I have In-Command so a single thermostat is in the system some ware and only a little round sensor exists physical in each location, wondering if I could just swap the sensor lines and if so where. This sounds like a good option to program into In-Command.

With In Command the CANBUS signals that control HVAC functions are sent from DC. (Display Commander and BCM) to zone 1 and zone 2 control modules...
There is no separate thermostat... also each remote temp sensor for eac zone is plugged into either Zone 1 or Zone 2 AC control module on the roof

From what I can find the Display Commander controls the AC's directly through the buss and it looks like the thermostat (the part that senses temperature) is in the display commander, I just cant find anything that shows the wiring for the temp sensors.

ChuckS is correct, both AC's have control modules and the In-Command is just a display for those modules, sensors connect to those modules, no way to change that.
Still it would be nice if someone like Dometic added the option to control heating via the bedroom thermostat/sensor at night.

If all he wants to do is swap remote sensors then yea it could be done.. each sensor is a simple two wire plug in on its respective control module zone board..
He’d have to build a junction box and a series of switches to transfer the remote sensors back and forth...
Whether or not those control boxes would like it is a maybe... not to mention the hassle of running wires for both sensors, etc
And... this is going to change the overall resistance of each circuit remote sensor and these sensors work via feeding backs given resistance that correlates to a known temp...
Pic from Dometic manual shows relative ohm reading versus temp on a remote temp sensor
